February Happenings

Cam turned 3. My baby is 3. WOW. He had a very fun birthday. Got some monster trucks that he loves so much.

Look at that smile! The kids loved playing with the trucks on the cake. I made them wait until we had a picture of it before they could "VROOM" their trucks. (Ty and Zack have said that forever about cars and trucks. Now all of us say it.)
Zack and Ty both started basketball this month. Somehow I don't have any pics of Ty but here is one of Zack warming up with the team.

Just Cam being cute.

Zack got to go swimming with his class two days in a row. He thought it was awesome. I went to help his teacher. She was very nervous about getting all the kids dressed and back to school. It was fun to see him. Tylers class went too but I didn't get to help with them.
Wow it has been a really long time since I have blogged. But here are few things that have been going on with us so far in 2011. (I won't bore you with things that happened before that)

We started out the new year pretty good. The first thing new we did was get a new bed. We have had a waterbed forever and we said if it ever broke we would get a regular bed. Well about two weeks after Christmas, it broke. It was a pain to get down, but we got it out, sold the frame and got a new bed! It took a while to get used to it, but we love it now. Not ever going back to a waterbed!!

Then I had a birthday. 33 big ones. WOW. Shon had picked up a yummy ice cream cake for that night. I had gotten a new camera about a week earlier for my birthday, so I wasn't expecting anything else, but Shon surprised me with tickets to a Jazz game and a night in a hotel in Salt Lake. It was sooo fun. We went to P.F. Changs after the game, which is one of my favs.

Other than that, we have just kind of been hanging out. Kids in school, Cam and I keeping ourselves occupied. Shon's work has been pretty good. He has been stressed and sometimes overwhelmed, but is pretty good.

This is Cam and his best friend Elie at the mall. It was so cold, we didn't leave th house much, so this is a good way to get out a little energy.

Happy Birthday to me!!
this is right after the game. It was a good game. The Jazz won.

Tyler's Baptism

Tyler got baptized on Saturday. What a wonderful day! This is a new thing for our little family, with Ty being the oldest. Both Shon and I got pretty emotional, which we expected. The stake baptism program was really nice. With my calling I get to go to the stake baptisms every month which I actually love. The opportunity to witness these ordinances is amazing. But of course it was different with Tyler being one that was making this step. It was so nice, I had a friend of mine take care of the music this time so I could just be with my family and enjoy. Tyler and I played a piano duet for the musical number. I didn't know if I could make it through it because tears were streaming down my face as we were playing, but it was beautiful.
It was so great to have the family there that could make it. Thank you for coming!!

That afternoon, we headed out to Ririe Reservoir to Blacktail. They have a great big grassy area and tables with shade and then this area blocked in by the docks. We have lived here for 8 years and have never been down here. It is only 15 minutes away. It was really fun!!
This is Zack at the far end of the swimming area. Over there it is too deep for an adult to touch and it is pretty cold. It is about 30 yard or so from the shore. Jed swam all the way over also. I am the only adult that actually jumped in from over there. It really took my breath away because it was so cold. But it was fun.

We took our little BBQ grill and cooked some hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner. Thanks Dad for being such a great cook!!

It was a great day!!!

Here is Whitney's hair before her opera tonight. She didn't have make up on yet so I didn't take one of her face. We all thought her hair turned out good. She is so excited. Will post more later.

Natali's Baby Shower

Natali's cake that her and I made. I baked the cakes and she decorated them. She even made the fondant. She is amazing!!
Cute booties from Grandma Norma.

Whit and Nat playing a game.
Another shot of the cake.
It was fun. We had a good time and I think so did Nat. We sure missed you that couldn't be here.
